Meet Dr. Sanna Averbuch, ND

Education
My journey to naturopathic medicine has been special. Growing up with a mother who was a practicing ND for over 24 years, I was fortunate to have naturopathic principles woven into my life from a young age, shaping my health and wellness in such a positive way. I also experienced my own personal health challenges, particularly with dermatology and women's health, where I saw firsthand the profound impact naturopathic medicine can have on one's well-being. This experience deepened my appreciation for the uniqueness and transformative power of this approach to healing.
I began my journey to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor at Wilfrid Laurier University, where I earned a BA Honours in Psychology. I then completed an additional four years of medical school at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), where I obtained my Doctor of Naturopathy degree. During my clinical training, I took part in the Reproductive Focus Shift and completed a one-year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.

Special Interests in

Approach To Care
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I take a patient-centred approach, dedicating time to understanding every aspect of your life and creating an individualized treatment plan tailored to your goals; recognizing that each person is unique. My approach combines evidence-based medicine with natural therapies, such as clinical nutrition, supplementation, herbal medicine, acupuncture, and lifestyle modifications. I focus on uncovering the root cause of your health concerns through comprehensive assessments, lab work, symptoms, and physical exams.
I'm passionate about empowering my patients through education, guiding you not only to heal but to master your health journey with knowledge. In a world full of conflicting advice, I prioritize the latest evidence-based guidance and utilize a potential blood work assessment, to help you make informed decisions about diet, supplements, and lifestyle changes. Our journey begins with an in-depth initial assessment, where we explore your health as a whole—not just symptoms. From there, we design a comprehensive plan with personalized recommendations that are realistic to implement. As needed, follow-up visits provide ongoing support, allowing us to monitor progress, adjust your plan, and ensure we're on the right track to achieve your long-term goals.
